What You Need

This article covers things needed for all employees.

Email

Your nansen.com email should be setup for you already. If not, please contact Markus regarding account setup. You may use alternative mail clients if you choose, but we suggest accessing outlook directly in the browser at outlook.office.com, or downloading the Outlook app.

Slack

Slack is our main source of communication in the office. You can download the client at slack.com. Our workspace name is "thisisnansen". You should be added automatically with your Nansen email. If not, please contact David or Markus for assistance.

The most active channels are general-us and work-status. Each client has their own specific channels, but these are usually private. If you need access, please reach out to a member of that client team, preferably the project manager.

VPN

VPN access may be needed to access some features when you are out of the office. If you were not given access already, please contact Markus for VPN setup.

Password Management

We currently use Bitwarden to manage passwords. You will need to create an account at bitwarden.com. Once you have an account, please provide the email you signed up with to David or Patrick.

We also recommend installing the chrome extension. This will make logging into to sites much easier.

Credentials are separated based on client and role level in Bitwarden. If you need access to a specific client or security level, please contact David or Patrick.
